Boyfriend shorts are the best piece of clothing if you want to show your legs and feel at the same time comfortable. Due to the length and shape, the shorts tend to look more masculine and therefore allow you a more casual look.
I ordered my Misguided shorts from the Asos website but it is no longer available that is why I linked you a similar one. Also, I choose the shorts in black because I don’t have any in my wardrobe in that color. The pants are versatile and I knew I could get good use out of them.Furthermore, I like how the shorts are cut at the end to provide a used look.
How to style boyfriend shorts
In addition, you can pair the shorts wonderfully with sneakers, flats and heeled sandals if you want to spice your outfit. Personally, I wouldn’t wear boots to the boyfriend shorts because it can give the appearance of ‘short’ legs.
For the top clothes, you can go with anything that your heart desires. You can wear a wrap top that is trendy right now. A plain T-shirt, ribbed top or even a cozy pullover for the colder days. I kept it basic with a white tee, shoes and a beige cardigan. They also have a good contrast to the black shorts.
I hope you like my outfit and see you in the next post!
Gratitude means being thankful. Also, it helps you see your situation in a different way.
In times of Social Media, we tend to compare our lives to others and forget that we already have everything that we need. We are so caught up wanting what others have that this could possibly lead to dissatisfaction and even to unhappiness. Sometimes, I am guilty of comparing myself too.
And to be honest, anybody can practice gratefulness. The fact that you wake up every day and experience life is a reason to be thankful! Also, I am very sure that you have people who love you which is the most important thing in life.
Being healthy is another reason to be grateful because once we fall sick, we then wish to recover as soon as possible and tend to forget how good life was before the sickness.
Now, I want to show you the way I practice and stop comparing myself.
SHOP THE LOOK:
Why you should be grateful
Healthy habit – a positive mind is a healthy mind
It grounds you – even successful people need it
Can prevent you from depression
You focus on the things you have
Because the most of us have a roof over our head
You let go of things that you currently don’t have in life because in the future you could have it if you really want and work for it.
Reconnects you with family
You have a positive outlook on life
Keeps you motivated because you have something to ‘fight‘ for
How I practice gratitude / How you can practice gratitude
Whenever I feel down, I just write all the things down that I have. Like for example my family, friends, being healthy and much more.
I help and give people compliments. Because it makes me feel content and people feel valued.
Try to write things down in a journal that you have in life like family, friends, people who helped you or even compliments from a stranger
Try to eat healthily and do sports so that your body can stay in a good condition
How to stop comparing yourself to others
Detach yourself from anything that could make you unhappy like: Social Media, friends, Family who always put you down or give you the impression that you aren’t good enough.
Instead of looking at what others do and feeling bad. Try to change that energy into building the dream life you’ve always wanted.
Finally, remember people only share the highlights of their life.
To put it in a nutshell, we’re unfortunately capable of comparing our lives to ‘dream lives‘ BUT we are also capable of enjoying the things we have if we practice gratitude daily and change the view of a situation.
This is an easy apple and goat cheese salad recipe. It is the perfect recipe for the warmer months because it is quick, easy & includes different fruits.
Also, this salad recipe is inspired by the Le Bol patisserie in Vienna. We enjoyed the salad ‘Monsieur Seguin’ the most. Because of the pears, figs, kiwis and much more. Furthermore, the warm goat cheese and the typical French honey-mustard dressing made this salad so delicious. Due to the tanginess and creaminess of the both. That is why I wanted to share with you my own version of goat cheese salad recipe. Which I hope you will like. Feel free to use herbs like dill, parsley or other fruits like maracuja if you like.
Apple and goat cheese salad recipe ( 2 peeps/preparation: 10 min)
Tear the lettuce and cut the kiwis and apples to bite size pieces and keep them aside.
In another bowl mix vinegar, lemon juice and honey together. Then add olive oil slowly into the mixture until it is homogenous. After that add salt and pepper.
Place the salad on the plate, then put the grapes, tomatoes and kiwis next to the lettuce. Raisins, walnuts and goat cheese can be placed on top of the salad
By the way, the goat cheese can be added directly to the salad or can be heated briefly on the pan.
Finally, drizzle the honey-mustard dressing on the lettuce and fruits
We’ve taken so many pictures on our trip to Vienna. And we shot a few fashion pictures which I wanted to share with you. Oh and, if you haven’t read my little Vienna Guide already – you should do it now!
Luckily, most of the time the weather allowed me to wear airy and cute spring clothes.
On Look no. 1 I was posing in front of the Donner Brunnen that is in the heart of Vienna. I wore my H&M wrap top and paired it with my beige pants which you have seen many times. The wrap top can be paired with blue ankle jeans or with a jeans skirt. I then threw on white Converse All-Star shoes. In addition, these are the best shoes for long city walks and they give the outfit an effortless touch.
Moving on to spring outfit no. 2: I was relaxing on the wall wearing a green-stripped blouse that was tucked in my blue jeans skirt. Also, I paired this outfit with my beloved cognac-colored bag and the Reebok Classics. By the way, this is the perfect attire to put on when it is 20 degrees outside.
This Vienna travel guide will show you the hotel we stayed, the historical buildings we saw and the good food that we ate, I hope you’ll enjoy it and get inspired.
Some of you have seen my Vienna pics on my Instagram. Me and my better half drove for several hours by car to explore and visit friends in beautiful Vienna.
By the way, Jan has been there twice because some of his friends live in Vienna, and this was my first time.
Our stay
We arrived in the evening and checked in the Ruby Marie Hotel to stay for 3 full days. Luckily they upgraded us to a bigger room. Our room was very clean and beautiful. Also, there was a big open shower that was attached directly to the bed. The only thing that separated it was the glass wall. Furthermore, the hotel has a cozy relaxing and breakfast lounge.
Most of the time we stayed in the heart of the city and spent quite some time in the shopping malls.
Historical Buildings & Gardens
The next day was quite rainy and we explored a bit of Vienna and what caught my eyes immediately were the beautiful buildings and historical ones. I felt almost like all the buildings were so beautiful. And, if you didn’t know by now, I am a sucker for those vintage architectures.
We visited the Palmenhaus Garden briefly. Then the infamous Maria-Theresienplatz with the twin castles. The castles face each other, in the middle you can find a beautiful garden.
On the shopping street ( Maria-Hilferstr.) you can find every fashion store that your heart desires. You will also find St. Stephen’s Cathedral, which resembles the Milan Cathedral due to its aesthetics.
Finally, my favorite place to rest, read a book or just to live in the moment and enjoy the weather, is definitely the Hofburg Vienna, which offers an incredible garden and castle.
Next time we want to visit the opera and museums.
Now onto my most favorite topic – food
The Wiener was the first place that we visited. The food is über good if you want to eat a typical Vienna dish. My menu included: a soup, beetroot risotto finished off with a delicious hot chocolate brownie which is a must-try! On top of that the service was excellent, very much recommended!
Le Bol, is a little French cafe in the inner corner of Vienna. There are a few tables and one big table in the middle of the Café. We love to go to Le Bol because we can grab a good coffee and eat the ‘Monsieur Seguin’ the most delicious salad with the yummiest goat cheese ever.
The Naschmarkt in Vienna is known for its huge selection of spices, meat, and fish. The market kinda reminds me of a bigger version of our Kleinmarkthalle that is located in Frankfurt.
See you in the next post!
