SHOP THE LOOK:

I can’t believe that the year went by so fast. That’s why this will be my last post for 2017 and I hope you enjoyed the pics and will find a coat that suits you.

In the fall and winter times a faux fur coat is a must-have in every wardrobe. This year the fur coat has had a comeback in different textures, colors and lengths. When you are choosing a color  I would suggest opting for a color that isn’t dark brown so it doesn’t look so vintage or ‘old’.

When I saw this dark red faux fur red coat from H&M I directly fell in love. It keeps you warm and it is of good quality. Currently, the coat is sold out but I linked you some similar ones that you can check out. Under my faux fur coat, I wore a turtleneck pullover and pinstriped pants which you can find at H&M.

I didn’t want to just go out and take a picture with the coat. So, we thought ‘oh let’s use our apartment as a little studio’. Then we took some editorial like pictures at home, with the lights that we have. I know it might not be so professional. But I think it turned out really good. Especially if you have a personal and sweet photographer and spent some hours on editing.

We even did a brief clip of the faux fur coat which I posted on my Instagram. Feel free to check it out and leave a comment. 🙂

By the way, I want to thank you for supporting and checking my page out (sorry for not updating it frequently). I hope I can be more consistent and be more organized in 2018.

We’ll see!

Happy new year, guys <3

Life update #2

About Jey
Me standing in the middle of our little X-mas shopping.

Hey

It‘s been a while where I shared a bit of my personal life. Also, Christmas is knocking on the door and the year is almost over, I thought this would be a good idea. The past months I was quite busy. We celebrated friends and family birthdays. By the way, I had a lot going on in my life that was on the good and the bad side. Luckily, I didn’t let these issues affect my mental health.

Last week I spent most of the time in bed because I was ill and had little to no strength. A few days ago, I and my better half celebrated our anniversary, we are since 7 years together.

Since I love food and fashion I am really thinking to keep aboutjey more in the fashion/personal way and showing you the things I like. Therefore I want to open a more business related page where I focus on a different niche. But I don’t know yet. If I do decide, I will let you know.

A few words to 2017

I am really happy for the person I have become. And I don’t want to waste my time with things that don’t make me happy or don’t feel right. That is why my main and constant goal is to grow mentally and spiritually. This year showed me that way different and uncommon things can catch my interest.

Sadly, some people that were at the beginning of the year by my side won’t be there in 2018 anymore. That is life – I learned that people stay or leave so that they can teach you a lesson.

To put it in a nutshell, I know that 2018 will be great because I will just focus on positive things and stay open to new things.

Feel free to let me know how your year was and which lesson you’ve learned.

————————-

Hey guys

I had to post these photos with you because the days are getting much colder and soon heavy winter is knocking on our doors. And I am not really a fan of that, especially of snow. I’m more of a spring & summer girl.

Last weekend, we found a cute spot with lots of beautiful golden leaves that give you autumn feelings.

I kept my whole outfit quite dark. My jacket with faux fur on top is a few years old. Also, my jeans are from Vero Moda and I really like the boot cut shape. In addition, such jeans can be easily paired with vans, chucks, flats or with Chelsea boots like the one you see in my photos.

I hope you enjoy the photos.

P.S. Do you like my blow-dried hair? When I left the house, they got so puffy. 😉

Easy Nasi Goreng

Easy Nasi Goreng

Ever since we went to Amsterdam and ate Indonesian food at Kantjil de Tijger I wanted to make my own version. This is a healthy and easy way of making Nasi Goreng which means fried rice. Usually you fry your ‘old‘ rice  with your leftovers like veggies, fish & meat.

What you will need for the Nasi Goreng
(2 hungry people)

1 x onions
3 x chili
1x thumb sized ginger
3 x cloves of garlic
1/2 head of cabbage
2 cups of cooked/cooled rice
5 teaspoon of soy sauce
2 teaspoon of hoisin sauce

Instruction

1. First of all, throw the onions, chili, garlic & ginger with a little bit of water in the blender. If you don’t have a blender you can mash it.

2. Pour the oil in a pan and fry the puréed goodness that consists of the ingredients mentsioned before.

3. After that throw in the cabbage and mix everything together.

4. Push everything aside and place the rice in the middle and mix it with the greens and herbs.

5. If you notice that the food is a bit dry put a bit more oil into the pan.

6. Now season the mix with soy and hoisin sauce and stir  7 minutes until the rice turns light golden.

7. The dish is almost ready but you can place a fried egg on top of your plate that is covered with the tasty Nasi Goreng.

8. Lastly, don’t forget to enjoy and leave a comment on my post & tell me if you like it.
