Happy Saturday guys!

I’ve always been a cardigan lover and own a few in my closet.

Since September and autumn are here I wanted to talk about my favorite clothing piece that should be in both men and women’s wardrobe. I don’t know how many times I’ve told Jan he needs one – hahaha 🙂

It’s the perfect clothing for this time of the year because you can wear it as a transitional piece over your dress, t-shirts, and tops. Plus, you can take it off or tie it around your waist if it does get warmer. On the other hand, I suggest you wear it under your jacket or a coat for the cooler months. So you don’t freeze ;-).  Sometimes, I like to wear a thin cardigan and tuck it into my jeans for an effortless look. Have I already said that this piece is versatile? Haha!

Also, cardigans are far from boring you can find them in different lengths (mini-maxi), colors, structures, styles and thickness. Plus, you can style it to your liking.

So how do you style this versatile piece?

We did our first September shooting in lovely Darmstadt. I wore my 501 tapered Levi’s jeans which was a bit too heavy for the weather. The look is followed up with my thick brown cardigan that I own since last year. And, I know for sure that I will wear the heck out of it. By the way, I buy most of my cardigans at H&M or Mango.

Under my cardigan, I wore a grey basic shirt by ASOS. I finished off this overall laid-back look with beige/black slingback pumps and my black bucket bag (I talked on Instagram about this bag, here).

I linked below a few cardigans to shop & see you in the next post!

This wasn’t a planned shooting but we discovered this wall that had little holes. Plus, I had on a black strappy dress which would look good on pictures with that structured wall.

I kept this look minimal because it was hot as hell. I paired the dress with comfy black Birkenstocks slippers and my Bali bag. This bag might seem small but you can fit in your keys, purse, sunglasses, and some tissues. By the way, can we talk about my sunglasses?! I’ve been loving this kind of sunglasses because they make a simple or plain outfit look unique. Plus this oval metal shaped one is very 90’s inspired.

As the days are getting colder, you can wear the dress with a cozy cardigan, sheer tights and boots. Throw on some necklaces and your favorite bag and you are good to go.

Lastly, I left my hair in its natural state and kept in a half bun and left my newly cut fringe out.

Feel free to read my latest post about my summer pieces & see you in the next post!

My Little summer favorites

My Little summer favorites

Hey guys,

I am glad that we are experiencing this beautiful heat. Unfortunately, summer is almost over. Therefore, I wanted to share with you a few pieces that I’ve been loving and using lately.

SHOP SUMMER FAVORITES:

Cat Eye Sunglasses

Black cat eye sunglassesI am a sucker for sunglasses and this black cat eye sunnies have really become my favorites because they compliment my heart-shaped face. Also, due to the color and the shape, the sunglasses look great with every outfit. Plus, I love the vintage 50s / 60s vibes it gives my look.

Cinco necklaces

These necklaces are made by a small company in Portugal. They are made out of silver and are coated with 24 karats of gold. And the quality of the necklaces is great. Besides that, it goes well with everything and can be layered easily.

Lastly, I regularly switch between these two and I am planning to buy more in the future.

Summer dresses

In the summer times, I always go with dresses and skirts which is a must for me in this heatwave.

I love grabbing dresses with different prints, especially the ditsy print is very trendy at the moment. Also, I’ve been loving midi dresses lately…

Hair bands

I turned my Dior scent band into a hair accessory.

When you see a satin band you instantly connect it with the French Chic style. Or you visualize it with a white midi dress driving in a vintage car to Italy.

I like to use satin bands in any color since my hair is tucked in most of the time. Moreover, I prefer to wear a colorful satin band with a plain/ minimalistic outfit. So that my outfit looks effortlessly chic.

You can be an optimist

You can be an optimist by Lucy MacDonaldIf you tend to be a pessimist like me, then you have to read this book by Lucy MacDonald. It really helps you to become an optimistic person. Therefore you can handle a common situation differently and see your ‘problems’ with a new perspective. What I love most about the book are the different tasks that you find throughout the book which you can do. At the moment, I am currently reading another self-help book with the title name ‘The Subtle Art of not giving a Fuck’. I will let you know if I liked it. 🙂

Nude nails

Essie Pinned Up Essie Pinned Up on dark skinLet’s move on to beauty – I rarely wear nail polishes because I found out that their break my nails. BUT If I do wear polish, I always go for nude tones. ‘Pinned Up’ by Essie is one of my favorite. It has a pinkish nude tone that goes well with my skin’s color.

Coco Mademoiselle – Chanel

Coco Mademoiselle ChanelLastly, what would a summer post be without a good scent? 🙂 I use this fragrance almost every day and it doesn’t get old – haha. Moreover, it is described as an intensely feminine, fresh and oriental scent which stays on my body all day. You should definitely try it out!

By the way, if you want to know what I like to wear on my feet then head to this blog post.

See you in the next post, peeps!

Happy Friday peeps, the week went way to fast.. I feel as I am getting older the time moves quicker.

What are you guys doing on the weekend? Jan and me will be spending time together with cooking, driving to the city and family.

I am a sucker for sunset pictures. I would like to shoot in the early morning too when everybody is still sleeping. Unfortunately, it might be difficult because I am not a morning person if you didn’t know by now – I am more of a night owl. Haha!

Furthermore, I love the golden vibes and colors sunsets give my pictures as you can see. Especially, when it’s been very hot the whole day. Due to the weather cooling down a bit, shooting makes much more fun without sweating our butts off.

We took the picture near the train station in our village when the sun was about to go down. It wasn’t cold that day but I threw on a cardigan in order to pose and play a little bit with the camera. Under the cardigan, I had on my mini checked dress by Bershka which I bought in Vienna for a while. In this heatwave, I love throwing on dresses and skirts and avoid to wear things that touch my pits. So, I don’t sweat much more.

Finally, I finished my outfit off with my black sandals. Which I wrote about in my summer shoes blog post.

See you in the next post.

7 shoes every girl should have for summer

7 shoes every girl should have for summer

Summer shoes sandals 2018

*a few shoes are sold out but I linked alternatives.

Today I’m talking about my 7 favorite summer shoes. All of them are comfortable and can be worn in the hot summer months. I tend to wear sandals, mules and everything breathable on the hotter days because my feet need to breathe too! 😉 Also, I think they deserve to do that because they carry us everywhere.

1. Dallas Sandals by Topshop

Dallas square sandals by TopshopThe first time I saw them on the Topshop site and on some bloggers I directly fell in love. The color of the sandals are red but they have a faux snakeskin print. Since animal prints are trendy right now, I wrote a blog post on that topic.

I haven’t worn them that much yet but I can definitely say that they are comfortable. Moreover, I love the girly and sexy vibe these shoes give when you pair it with white/beige pants, skirts, trousers and much more. The reason why I choose a brighter color is, that it makes the red pop much more.

2. Sandals with multiple straps by Mango

beige sandals straps by MangoI can just say that these are the perfect nudes for my skin tone. Also, they have become one of my favorites in the past weeks. The heel isn’t so high and is perfect for long walks. Due to the nude color, these sandals can give your outfit a  more polished/elegant look.

3. Slingbacks by Heine

Slingback pumps HeineThese beige slingback pumps are the perfect dupe for the  Chanel pumps with a better price tag. I like to wear the shoes with ankle high pants or a bright flowy dress.

4. Arizona sandals by Birkenstock

Birkenstock Gizeh blackThe Birkenstock sandals are my second favorite shoes in my collection because these are the shoes I like to wear If I don’t want to try so much or just want to dress my outfit down. It’s more for a laid-back style.

5. Yellow Satin Slides by Zara

Yellow Satin slides by ZaraLast year I bought the Zara slides due to the beautiful bow tie details. Also, I think that these particular slides make your feet look pretty decent. Just combine colors that go well with the mustard of the slides.

6. Miista Hemma White Pump form Williamsburg

White pumps by Miista shoesHere are my pumps that are from a brand that is based in London and produced in Spain. The vintage style of the pumps made me buy them on Zalando. In addition, I love the square shaped silhouette and the low cork heel that put a bit of a contrast on the white leather. The pumps go well with jeans, skirts, dresses and therefore, make your outfit put together.

7. Loupe by Dune

Loupe leather sandals DuneThey say the best comes last. And if you could only choose one shoe from my summer collection. I would suggest these sandals by the British company Dune. Because it is of great quality and the design is just classic which means you can wear it every summer. Furthermore, the sandals are very comfortable. And, thankfully there is no need to break them in.

Lastly, the leather Loupe sandals go well with any outfit of your choice. By the way, I am planning to buy another one in the color white.
